Welcome to the Parish Council website.

In order to improve the way in which Kirkby Malzeard, Laverton and Dallowgill Parish Council communicates with people living and working within the Parish, it was agreed at the Annual Council meeting in June 2016 to replace the previous website with this new site, which would be managed directly by the Councillors and the Clerk, rather than using a third party website management company.

As well as saving some money from the Precept, which can be usefully spent elsewhere, it means that we will be able to comply better with legislation such as the 'Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities', and keep you informed quickly and accurately about what the Parish Council is doing on your behalf.

We would welcome any suggestions that you may have to improve our service, both in respect of this website and, more generally, in terms of what we do on a day to day basis.

In the first year the website received 4350 visits - approximately 12 per day and at some point soon we hope to open a Facebook page to try and reach a new sector of the community who use social media for information.

Next meeting: August 21 2017
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held at 7.15 pm on Monday August 21 in the annex room of the Mechanics Institute in Kirkby Malzeard. Everyone welcome.
