At the Annual meeting of the Parish Council held in June 2016 it was agreed that the Council would revert to holding Full meetings each month, starting in August. If necessary, Interim meetings would be also held to deal with issues such as planning applications, on which a decision was required before the next full meeting.

All meetings are open to the public and are normally held in the Annexe room of the Mechanics Institute in Kirkby Malzeard. The Full meetings will normally take place on the last Monday of the month, unless they coincide with a Bank Holiday, when they will usually be held on the previous Monday. Meetings normally start at 7.15pm.

Each year there is an Annual Parish Meeting, usually held in conjunction with the normal Full monthly meeting in April, at which at the Chairman provides a report on the work of the Council over the previous year, and representatives of other Local Organisations, including the Mechanics Institute, Women's Institute, Flower and Produce Show committee, and the Highside Playing Fields Association, also provide an update on their activities.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, where the Chair and Vice-Chair are elected, and Council procedural documents are re-adopted etc, is normally held in conjunction with the Full monthly meeting in May.
